All of our seating starts with two key ingredients.
1) Kiln dried alder. No MDF or particleboard here.
2) High Resiliency foam from Foamex. Best there is.
after that, let the games begin. You can have natural latex in your seats, backs, or frames. you can have goose down, or you can choose a hypoallergenic down substitute called Trillium. You can go through our copious decks of fabrics, and I can show you which ones are going to be appropriate for your application.. At Couch, we believe in choices and, perhaps because we’re so new to the industry, REALLY enjoy walking customers through what goes into making a couch– and more importantly, what they want going into THEIR couch.

I just came across your website off of Craigslist of all places. My wife, son and I will be (finally) moving to Seattle. My wife is from there and I have wanted to move there for years. So as of August 1st we will be there.
We are moving into a tiny 2+ bedroom cottage and want to create a sort of mid-century-northwest style. We have been living in an eclectic/Euro/homey home for 10 years. It’s really nice and comfy, but we need a change. We are selling most of our furniture to make the change and will be looking for a sectional (?) for the new pad.
I see, based on the website that you might be new? I would love to see some samples of what you do, but based on your description, it sounds like you can do pretty much anything. And the greener, the better! So if you have any photos of previous work or have suggestions for us I would love to hear from you.
We are super excited about the move and newly redesigned lifestyle, etc.
I will look forward to hearing from you.

I took a peak at your stuff this weekend and loved it. You’re design store quality on an ikea budget! Now I’m pondering where I could possibly fit another piece of furniture in my house…
From a female’s perspective, it would be cool to be able to view the possible fabric choices online (if there are fabric choices?). Just to get an idea of what COULD be done once I do decide I can fit a couch in the study.

Hi Kate,
Thanks so much for your compliments. There are indeed dozens of fabric choices available. Velvets (my personal favorite), microsuedes (indestructible), linens, cottons, knits. I have hemp and recycled fabrics coming in as well! I’ll try and get a few images up, but fabrics are IMPOSSIBLE to accurately represent online. Thanks for your feedback though. I’ll have to do a better job having the fabric samples out instead of tucked away in a drawer. As far as fitting a couch in your study, Keep in mind that I can have something customized for your space. All dimensions, construction materials, and fabrics are entirely up to you,

Wow! I can’t believe these prices, the cool designs, and the fact that you can make an eco-couch!!!!! You are awesome!
I live across the country.
I need to take a road trip.
Nontoxic fill without PBDE’s and hemp fabric would make me so happy! I simply can’t afford a 10K eco-couch that others sell, but I would be willing to pay a few thousand for a small non-toxic couch if one was actually on the market. Well, it looks like it is! Now to figure out how to buy a couch from halfway across the country…hmm…

I would love to sell you a couch for a “few thousand” but they don’t cost that much– even with the roughly $1000 upcharge for organic latex in the frame and cushions (that stuff is craaaazy expensive). I also have a 100% hemp fabric I could send you a swatch of– but I’m more excited about an eco- canvas 55% hemp/45% cotton I have because it feels nicer. It’s made with organic dyes and no chemicals are used in finishing it. Also– Trucking from LA (where my factory is) to Maryland should only be a few hundred bucks and is definitely something I’ll be able to figure out from my end. All in, including trucking, I should be able to keep you at not over 3k or so.
